Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

A white Priority Mail envelope comes in the mail and inside is a check made out to you with your address on it. It is for a substantial amount of money. No information is enclosed with the check. I have spoke with the company listed on the check and they have not issued any refunds or promotions to people. They have received other phone calls regarding this issue and confirmed they are not involved with this and it is most likely a scam.
