Type of a scam Tax Collection

Received a call from the number listed above and was told I would be arrested for tax fraud and the caller did not have the correct name on my tax form to begin with. When I confronted him concerning this he became hostile and told me to contact an attorney and wait to be Arrested within 24 hours. I asked for information and he refused to give it to me. When I told him he was running a scam, he started yelling and hung up. His voice was of foreign nature.

I received a call from Jack Carter from Legal Affairs he has a thick accent, sound like he is either from India or Pakistan. He left me a message to contact my attorney because the Department of Legal Affairs had started a case against me. Strongly urged me to call back. Claims their is legal action against me. He called from 718-551-9479. I tried to call back a few times to ask questions and the number is usually busy or rings for a long time when you try to call it back.

I received a phone call recording. The voice was female, with what sounded like an India accent. The recording stated they were with Legal Affairs and that I owed money and to contact an attorney and call back at 909-666-5071. Call soon to avoid a big mess. I didn’t call back. I know that any legal action requires WRITTEN notification. Since I have never received anything in writing, this is a misleading scam, trying to get people to call out of fear.
