Type of a scam Employment

They put a posting on People Per Hour for a virtual assistant/graphic designer/content writer position. Within 24 hrs of applying, they contacted me and said I should head to Google hangout for job briefing/interview. I thought it was strange that the these were combined. After a short interview, she said she had to contact others in the company and came back a few minutes later to say I was accepted.

The person who contacted me on PPH was Laurie L. The "hiring manager" was Tasha Phillipson. Her grammar in the online chats she sent was off.

The job itself was for a few hours a day with flexible hours and the ability to work at home. I was also offered health insurance, PTO, and vacation time. She gave me a lis of things I would need to buy before starting and said they would paypal me the money to do so. As for the pay, it was $18 per hour for training and $35 for the actual job, which is very high for a position like that.

Additionally, when I looked up the company, while Lanka Graphite Ltd actually seems to exist, the latest news from them came out sometime in 2018.
