Type of a scam Online Purchase

I have been searching for a yellow lab puppy to bring home to our family after loosing ours last December. I searched and found an adorable puppy. They requested a payment via Venmo, and then said the puppy would ship out the next morning. I received an email confirming flight, but then got a text and call saying they now needing an additional $2000 for an electronic crate that would be refunded. The seller said they were in CA, and the phone number they used was as such, however the flight was from GA and they said the kingslogisticsint.com messed up in the shipping, however searching ScamPulse.com they are listed as GA. I did not give any additional payment information, but they were very persistent over the phone. I was lucky and was able to stop the Venmo payment, but wish to warn others
