After reading excellent fence repair recommendations on our neighborhood, Nextdoor web page about Kennedy Oaks Fence with Rick Breese, we contacted him. He came right away with his father (whom had a broken hand that appeared to be a boxer break). They both walked the fence, measured and provided an estimate. He needed 1/2 money down for supplies, etc but requested the check made to be blank. The initial check was $550 on 3/2 whom he made out to “T——J——-”. After review of the railroad ties, removal and additional boards, etc, a second check was needed in the amount of $490.00 whom he made out to “G—- D——“. Initially he said he had a job in front of our so it would be a few days. It has been one month of excuses. The rain,his Uncle died, he sick, or behind but I will be there next Friday, bla,, bla, bla. After I told him my deadline is April 1, he said he could be 90% finished. We have not seen him as of 1:00 March 31. The last conversation you could tell he saying the supplies would need to be different in preparation for another check, I’m sure. I have since read the same stories on line by other customers that blindly took recommendations they read on the internet but have the same experiences. I believe he also uses another company name. I absolutely should have investigated prior to giving him checks but let my guard down after reviews. I have since read several stories on Rick Breese that match mine, needs money down then a string of excuses. Absolutely a scammer!
