Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I am a Pure Romance consultant and on Jan 24th, I was contacted by

Karen Potter about placing an order. She requested that she use a

cashier’s check as her form of payment. I received the check

through USPS on Feb 1st, the amount of the was for $1970.23 however

her invoice was only $257.67. She told me there was a mistake with

the check and that her director inadvertently added her flight

reimbursement to the payment for the merchandise. She asked me to

deposit the check and send the excess money to James McDonald in

Omaha, NE 68114 via MoneyGram, so she can pay for her flight on Feb

2nd. I with drew the cash in the form of two money orders and was

going to ship they 2-day express, however they refuse to accept

reimbursement other than MoneyGram. I then contacted my husband,

Eldon Holiman, who then contacted our bank USAA which advised us to

deposit the money orders back into our account and contact the state

attorney office and the BBB.
