Type of a scam Online Purchase

Was alerted by my bank that multiple unauthorized online purchases attempts were made by an unperson. A fraud alert was issued. Days later an authorized package was received from Italist.com without any shipping or receipt information. The company does not provide a phone contact number. All contacts are via an email address. An email was sent to the company to alert them about the unauthorized package. The company requested for images to be sent. While attempting to respond to the email with the pictures, the computer became locked. The computer is now being serviced to determine if any malicious software was downloaded. I believe this is possibly a scam to access personal and business devices.
