Type of a scam Tax Collection

I received a recorded call stating I needed to call back immediately as there was a lawsuit against me for not paying taxes. I figured it was a scam so I called back and asked for the name of the person I was speaking to. At first he wouldn’t give me his name and just stated he needed my name. I stated if you need my name then I need yours. Finally he gave me the name of James Watson (he had a very thick Indian accent too) I stated that I was not going to give him my name or SS # as I do not owe any taxes and wanted his SS # so that I could confirm he worked for the IRS. He gave me some letters and #’s to which I stated this was not a valid SS # he said it was his badge # and called me stupid and then said he was an Officer….Officer James Watson. I said fine I will check this out and make sure it is valid and he hung up on me.
