The male caller advised he was an Agent with the IRS and left a message for me to return a call due to I had 4 outstanding warrants for non payment of taxes. He advised me, to pay them in i-tunes cards a total of $6,000.00 and once I paid them, he would remove the warrants. He told me to call him back once I purchased the cards and provide him with the card numbers. I advised him I was a police officer and he ended the call. I called back several times and he told me to stop calling him.

He had my cellphone number and an old address I lived at 4 years ago.

Agent John told me I owed the IRS money and my accounts would be frozen and a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I then asked why I had not received correspondence from IRS and then he told me address it was sent to which was not correct and he screamed I was a liar and a very stupid person and then proceed with profanities.

An Asian speaking man identifying himself as an IRS Agent (Jake Adam Badge ID# IRM 6454 and the case # of CB1994) said I was being sued by the IRS for a $1,200 made to me in 2015, which was false. He immediately started telling me that I would be fined $75,000 and arrested if I would not settle this payment. After telling him I never received any $1,200 payment for anything he switched me to another Asian speaking man named Jerry Cole Badge #IRO077227.. This man told me if I paid $700 it would settle the matter (of course by this time I was very suspicious). I was then told if I would send at least $200, that would be sufficient and asked me for my bank account information. I told him I would not, he abruptly told me when I had the funds I was to call him back at the number he called me from. Out of curiosity, I called the number and an Asian speaking man answered the phone with "How can I help you?". I knew for sure that it wasn’t the IRS and just hung up the phone. I did go to the IRS web site and complete a report about the scam.

On August 16, 2016 I received a voicemail message for a person claiming to be an IRS agent. The person told me there was a tax debt/lien that I had to pay and needed to call (844) 445-6618 before further action would be taken against me. I did not believe it because I know the IRS would not call and leave a voicemail message. In the past, I have received calls/voicemail messages from two different phone numbers that I have previously reported as a scam to the ScamPulse.com and the IRS Scam office.

Called and left a voice mail twice while I was out with phone number to connect same as the caller ID showed as 561 210-4086 Boca,Raton, FL. stating they were from the IRS and my physical address was in question call about for more questions about me. This screams a phone scam because I received no postal statement from IRS and the CPA accounting department from IRS warned us about this and sent in returns on an IRS website from government that was protected from ID theft so please warn other ethic groups of color and seniors that they are out there trying to get information. He could not even speak good English and sounded like he was from India or an Asian country or Iran. Beware, other people had told me the same story and the ScamPulse.com is the only source we have to report this scam. TIGTA on IRS.gov has a website too you can report it but I could never get it to work. Don’t answer any unknown or out of state phone numbers or emails you don’t know because they try to represent many know companies and government agencies which they are not. Never give your personal information to anyone but tell them to send it to you and take it to a legal expert to exam for you. Don’t let your guard down and fall for all these scams out there. Guard your personal information with your life.
