Type of a scam Phishing

A woman by the name of Shannon Willcox and an associate Steven Caroll call all family members of my wife including in-laws advising them that my wife is under investigation by their company " Financial Crimes Division". They would not give me any more information about their company. They said that I wrote a bad check, and that they’re going to file a motion to have me arrested. I have gone out of my way to go to the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office here is Colorado to confirm I have no warrant. This need to stop as they call every year for the past seven years during tax season. Any help will help everyone thank you.
