Type of a scam Tech Support

In August 2019 I purchased a life time computer cleaning/ security service from techaid inc, located in Newark Ca.. I was informed to call monthly for a computer/security check up. If I did not call back a tech would call and leave a message stating

" you have suspicious activity on your computer and to call back as soon as positable". EVERY CALL ENDED UP AS A HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTIC TO GET YOU TO PURCHASE MORE UP GRADES AT INFLATED PRICES THAT YOU DID NOT NEED.*** EVERY TIME THE TECH WANTED YOU TO OPEN YOUR ON LINE BANK ACCOUNT TO CHECK IT. DO NOT DO THIS. On March 2, 2020 a tech called and stated" the company was going out of buisness and wanted to refund our money in agreement with the BBB". I asked for the cost to be refunded to a given charge card or a paped check. Person said "they can`t do this according to the ScamPulse.com agreement". And again want my ONLINE BANKING ACCOUT OPEN TO DO A DIRECT DEPOSIT. THIS COMPANY MAY PROVIDE A SERVICE BUT PURCHASERS BEWARE they are out there to get into your bank accounts. A caller from techaid, JASON, called four (4) times on March 3, 2020 trying to get in my accounts to do a refund. This place is techaid,8407 Central Ave. #2019, Newark , Ca. 94560 I want my money back and all services suspended!!!!!

Type of a scam Tech Support

I contacted what I thought was Norton support through a website. The technician I was speaking to referred me to another company that would encrypt my email, which they said had been hacked. This company, Techaid, sold me an encryption package and I allowed them access to my computer. They contacted me again using scare tactics to get me to buy another service and when I allowed them access, they locked my computer and tried to get me to buy Google Play cards to get access.

I shut everything down and paid to get my computer wiped. I only trusted them at the beginning because I thought the Norton site I had used was legit and I had used that company for years.
