I was almost a victim of a scam on Facebook. I saw a post on Facebook that I won half a million dollars. It was on Messenger. Shelby Edelen in California with the Facebook Claims Department. I did not see that person listed as a Facebook employee. Requested $1000 to receive my prize. This was a clearance fee. If I have won money I should not have to pay a fee. Wanted me to pay by gift cards. I don’t recall which ones. I knew the entire time it was a scam. I do not have their contact information. I have blocked them. I also reported this to the Attorney General. I want to help other consumers. People work hard for their money.
