Type of a scam Identity Theft

I received a phone call from someone calling themselves Rebecca from Chase Bank stating that I had wrote out a check to Rameriaze (not exact spelling) for $4500 to purchase a car. She was not clear as to the person’s exact name and stated that they placed a hold on the check. I asked the caller what is my name? (considering that they were calling me.) She claimed that she had to look up the information and that some of the information on the check was hard to read. After a minute or so she did come up with my name and bank that I do business with, but considering that I have a home mortgage with that bank also it is too easy for property information to show up on the internet. At that point I hung up on her.
