Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Jose from Imperial Meridian Capital Access called to speak to the owner of our business. I asked to take a message and he said it was in regards to "funds available" for our company. When I asked him why he was calling he stated he was calling back. I asked who had called him and when and he said no one had called but we were on his list to call. I asked to be removed from his call list and he said that they had no call list and he hung up on me. I promptly called the number back and no one answered. When I said, "hello" it was the same person who identified himself as Jose and asked to speak to Susan. I let him know I was calling back because he had hung up on me and I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they were unavailable. When asked for the supervisor’s contact information I was put on hold indefinitely. Very unreputable business relations.
