Type of a scam Rental

I booked a condo for two months for February and March of 2021. The guy said I could have it for $2000.00 if paid upfront. He also said the owner lives in Spain and I would have to send the money through Xoom to his bank in Spain. And I did. Later I emailed him to get the actual address because I realized there was only a property number on the contract. I have not heard from him since. I called and emailed several times.
