Home of Bully has a website stating their are a family owned breeder of American Bully dogs. The website looks professional and clean. If you fill out their contact form, a number texts you saying they got your inquiry and ask if you have any experience with the breed and where you’re located. If you’re ready to purchase the puppy, they will send you their Zelle info to submit payment. I wasn’t able to find their account on Zelle with the email they provided so they gave me another email to use, which was a completely different persons email, and when that didn’t work, they said to split up the payment to try and get it go through. When that didn’t work, they said to use CashApp. Again, the name they gave for that app was completely different from the other two names. I asked multiple times if they would take Venmo and they completely ignored it. The funds were transferred on CashApp and I saw they accepted the payment. I then got another text saying they are dropping the puppy off at the travel agency and they will get in touch with me with flight details. They try to seem genuine and that they care as they said the hope we take care of the puppy and to keep in touch. Shortly after I got a phone call from a number in Maryland and they were saying I need to check my email as that has all the info I need to get the puppy on to the flight. I read the email and right away it says the puppy needed 3 vaccines and a TSA approved crate as the one it was dropped off in was below standards. The funds "need" to be submitted quickly to get the puppy moving and on to the flight. The number called back a couple moments later asking if I got the email and if I am ready to submit funds. They ask for the funds to be submitted again using the CashApp but in three separate payments of $300. Their selling point of this is that the money is fully refundable upon delivery of the puppy. The person the phone sounded middle eastern and was hard to understand at times. They would get frustrated when I would ask them to clarify something or tell me again what is going on. Once those funds were sent they said another email will come from with more of the flight details and to stay by my phone. Sure enough, a couple moments later I got an email now saying that the puppy is being held because they need a life insurance policy costing $1950 to get the puppy on the plane and that the money is totally refundable and will be given back to me in cash upon delivery of the puppy. They called back again and asked if I got the email. I said I’m not paying that and that I want the dog on the plane now. They kept trying to get me to know they "understand my frustration" and will work with. I kept telling them that I’m not paying anything else that at this point I don’t believe there is even a dog and that this is all a scam. When I said that they tried to get me to "understand" why it is necessary for the puppy and that it is refundable when I get the puppy. They would not back down so I just told them that this is a scam and I’m not paying them anything. They said they’ll call me back so when they did I had my husband get on the phone. He started asking them the name of the breeder who dropped off the puppy, their number, his companies name, his tax ID number, the name of the shipping company, etc. They eventually hung up the phone. The email of the "traveling agency" is [email protected]
