Type of a scam Romance

Carlos contacted me on Facebook to chat. Told me he was an engineer & had a contract with Vietnam gov. to install pipeline from Hanoi. Almost immediately he call to say his father died and needed money to send for a family friend to travel and take care of his mother. I borrowed the money for him. Throughout the course of chatting I loaned money for various issues out of concerned that he was abroad. He talked of romance, love, marriage and such. There were incidents of illness where he asked for money for surgery and hospitalization. I sent him a Travel card in Jan 2018 to load funds if needed. His requests for money became expected and unbearable. I live on a limited disability income. Supposedly he returned in June 2018 to Tucson and has refused to repay my money after repeated requests. He was sent a lists of all reloads & Western Union receipts.
