The scammers contact you first through email and want you to go through the interview on Google Hangouts an IM service, the Hiring manager* then provides a company and using a legit company they used Heartland Payment Systems for the interview. I went through the interview process and it still seemed legit, but deep down I found it odd that they was using Google Hangout instead of skype interview or phone interview for the position. They said they would be sending me a check that would let me purchase goods from a company authorized vendor which was the next red flag.
