Type of a scam Online Purchase

I saw an ad online for AKC labrador puppies for $500. The price was a bit low, but the supposed owner stated that he had free shipping coupons to transport the puppy via airline to her new home, which is why the price was somewhat lower. I made contact via email several times with the family, and saw absolutely no red flags. The scammer was articulate, had a legitimate website, and appeared "normal" in conversation. I was even sent pictures of the puppy and parents. The scammers sounded genuinely concerned about the welfare of the puppy and appeared knowledgeable about her vet care. I was asked to send a money gram to a John Robert Mark (three first names, really?). I ignored that first red flag. Next, I contact this John Robert on the phone and it was extremely hard to hear him. His voice sounded strange. I sent the money and the man said the shipping company would be contacting me with flight details. I was contacted by a company that called themselves Echo Transportation services. They wanted $899 to ship the puppy claiming some kind of B.S. I refused, and from that point on, I made daily attempts to email, text and call the Guardian Retriever family. Low and behold, their website is now out of service, also. I do have an alternate number for them where they were texting me from. It’s (832) 356-4874. I hope these guys get caught!
