Type of a scam Counterfeit Product

I was buying a plane ticket on Spirit Airlines on their website, and when the page refreshed to show the flight purchase confirmation, there was an advertisement at the bottom of the page that blended in with Spirit’s website (not a pop-up). The advertisement offered a $50 rebate for Spirit Airlines, so I was drawn to it because Spirit makes you pay for baggage. The offer had to be redeemed over the phone, so when I called the number a man picked up (not robot) and talked about how using Great Fun gets you points for going to restaurants and movies and other activities with vouchers from their website. They took my credit card information, and said that after the $1 program fee was charged, I would receive the rebate as an email within 4-6 business days. I checked my bank account statement two days later to pay a bill, and I had over $1,000 online purchases to retailers I don’t shop at made within 24 hours of requesting the rebate. DO NOT TAKE THE "REBATE OFFER" ON SPIRIT’S WEBSITE, IT IS A CREDIT CARD SCAM.

Type of a scam Credit Cards

I never joined this site for membership, it was tacked on when I scheduled a ride from Super Shuttle. I cancelled my "membership" with them immediately, even though what they offer in regards to a membership is very unclear.

Then I called and cancelled with my credit card company to cancel my membership at the end of the month with a fraud inspector from my credit card company on the line. The customer service rep at Great Fun tried to renew my membership and I said no. She claimed to cancel my membership and then sent me an email stating that my membership had be cancelled.

I have had no interaction with the company since then (other than an angry e-mail I’m about to send them) and they just sent me "new membership" paperwork earlier this via postal mail.

From my communication with this company I know they are utilizing manipulation and double speak to confuse and swindle their customers and gain monetarily from unsuspecting citizens.

Received 2 letters in mail over weekend. 1) Great fun! 2) shoppers advantage. Called only giving name and state and that canceling service never requested nor signed up for. Got 2 cancellation codes, 1 for each. Customer service stated that signed up through phone for National Magazine exchange. Informed her never had this call and am on do not call list so remove me from their list.

Called Great fun 1st and they were able to cancel both.
