I was contacted by a mutual friend on Facebook telling me about government grants. She keep telling me it was legit and she promised the grant money would go threw if I gave them a copy of my ID. to prove it was me. The message was coming from a mutual friend so I believed or thought it was her… Later I found out someone had stole her Facebook account and it was not her contacting me at all. Now they have taken over my Facebook account and are contacting my friends asking for money in exchange for government grant money.

Well got a phone call from a women from Brooklyn New York number 718-625-9287 and she gave me a I’d number. So I can collect $9,200 in free grant money so the number she gave me was another number from New York. An that number is 718)732-0533 an the man I spoke to Michael Adams said I would have to go to Walgreens or CVS or Kmart ect . Then buy a government card where after I did that he would give me an access code to activate the grant money of $9,200 just wanted to make sure if this is real or a scam? Did not purchase the card cause it just didn’t sound real!

Apparently this company hacked a friend of mines Facebook messenger I got a message telling me about this goverment grants gave me a phone number where they instructed me to go to a Walmart and send money to another Walmart to Bonnie Williamson Latham in city of Laporte Indiana zip 46352 and as soon as they received the money they would send Fedex to deliver $100,000.00 in cash to my door step so I messaged my friend who said it’s legitimate but again I think I’m talking to the hacker I called my friend on phone and he didn’t answer

A guy called me from this number telling me i was selected for a grant of 9000 dollar grant and in order to get my money i had to pay 200 plus give him my bank info.

i was called by a foreigner by the name alex hayes saying i was picked to recieve a grant from the goverment for $9,000.00 and that i didnt have to pay it back..he had my name and my mailing address and knew i was married..i asked how the goverment selected me and he said during a survey..and because i never filed bankruptcy and i wasnt a criminal..so in order to get the grant i would have to choose how to recieve the money..first he said that the money could be deposited into my account ,or on my visa card or i could get it through western union through places as,walmart,cvs or walgreens..so then i said through walmart and then he gave me an ID number and told me to call his supervisor and she would tell me step by step to get my money…so i called the other number and the lady asked for my ID number and i gave it to her..she knew my name. she told me in order to recieve the money that i would have to pay $250.00 registration fee..i said no thank and hung up the phone…i knew all of this was a scam and i hope the bbb finds out who they are before they take an advantage of someone else..

They had my address. They had called over 20 times in just one day. One time the man actually threatened to bomb me. They want to confirm address to mail out grant information.
