Type of a scam Tech Support

This was a type of Tech Support/Refund scam that claimed to be from the company tech support GlobalNest.

I had recently bought (Which I may have also been scammed by this company as well.) an anti-malware suite and they called back to see they were refunding me my money and said they needed to uninstall all the programs they installed and that they would refund me.

Despite the red flags going off in my head, I trusted them and downloaded TeamViewer and let them into my computer and filled in "refund form". Then they used me to fill out a Western Union form, then had me log into my bank as I protested. I called GlobalNest themselves and they informed me I was being scammed.

I shut down my computer and called my bank who managed to stop the transactions, and we disabled my account and credit card.

This person also tried to use my PayPal and send the money via Xoom to send nearly all my savings to his bank.

Thankfully this was stopped and I am currently trying to close down my PayPal.

I want to stop this from happening ever again and I worried what this person can do with my personal info.

I want them to be brought to justice and to inform others who may could uninformed like I was of this scam.
