Type of a scam Government Grant

It started on Facebook messaging, I got a message from my cousin telling me he got "Free Money" from this Global Rotary Grant that you do not have to pay back. He gave me a phone number shown above and to call them to see if I qualified for the grant. Of course I qualified for the grant. My cousin told me to ask about the list, which I did. Global told me if I sent them $200.00, that I would receive $10,000.00 within 24 hours to my doorstep. Another amount was, if I gave them $1,000.00 I would receive $50,000.00 delivered to me. They (meaning Global) told me where to go locally, to send a MONEY GRAM in the amount that I was giving them. I drove all over town yesterday 4/1/2018 looking for a place that was opened so I could send them money. Everything was closed because it was Easter Sunday. Global said, I could send the money through, Western Union, Money Gram or RIA (whatever that is). When I arrived to the place, they gave me information on where to send the money. I kept telling them I thought this was a SCAM. I have all the messages on my phone they sent me. After driving all over town for about an hour, I was exhausted, so I basically gave up and told Global that. They told me to contact them at 7:30 the next morning at the same phone given to send them the money that my money was ready to be sent, which I never did.

In the meantime, I Googled Global Rotary Grants. There is such on place on the internet that does give Grants out. However, I decided they could be using them to get the money. So, that is why I am here to warn people not to fall for this SCAM! I called my Cousin so I could here his voice tell me it was NOT A SCAM. Well, guess what, he messaged me again, and told me it was legit and that his phone was not working to be able to call me so I can hear his voice. He also said, to call Global back. These people are very persistent so don’t fall for it. Fortunately, I did not give them any of my money.
