Total money lost $500

Type of a scam Government Grant

I got a Facebook IM from my close friend. The texts started like small talk, like Hello, Hey are you doing. Then she said "did you hear the good news". She told me she got a grant from Global Grant Foundation Program. She told me to text 276-863-9880. I texted. We continued to talk through Facebook, some about my cat that passed away. Then the conversation went back to the grant. I kept saying "I don’t know" and "this is my rent money". They gave me a list of grants, like $500 for $50,000 and $850 for $85,000 etc. So I chose the $50,000 for $500. He said the money would be delivered to my door. I drove to Walgreen at Galloway and W Broad to buy a Steam card. They didn’t carry them. Then I drove to Walmart off Rome Hilliard Rd, Hilliard, OH. I purchased (4) Steam cards: $200, $200, $50, $50. I had a conversation w/the clerk, he said people buy them all the time. The scammer was texting me the whole time I was at the store. The scammer asked what cards I had, he said he could do multiple cards. I scratched off the security numbers, took pictures of the cards, front and back, and sent them to the scammer. He said "OK Good, hold on while I process this". Then he said, "There is a server error on our system. Please do not expose these cards, you should keep it safe". I told him I have dialysis in the morning, and I wouldn’t be home. He responded "You could cash it if it’s a check." He was talking about a certified mail check. Then he said "Let us know the time you’ll be home to pick up your check delivery". Later he said my payment had been confirmed, then he said the server is very slow at this time". This morning he texted me at 9:23 am, he said "Hello", then he said "Sorry for the late response, your payment has been confirmed but you still need to get a Wallet Steam card for a $100 for an upgrade on our website after the server error yesterday, so the cards weren’t enough to fix up your papers." I told him I had given him the last of my money, I just gave you my rent money, is there anyone I can talk to. He replied "Talk to? How do you mean?". I responded "Yes, I need that back. HELLO?" He said, "We have started processing your information and that is why $100 is needed to finish the process". He went on to say, "You have to do this to complete the process. Are you still with me? Hello?" Then I called the phone number, and they didn’t answer.
