I fell for the same scam, I did however call the very day I received the product. I was told by supervisor 260 I would not be charged any further charges. I was then charged $94.99 the next month I have trying to get the charge reversed and Gia Bennett sent incorrect information “showing a credit card receipt.”WHICH WAS BLANK”. I have no idea what they told my bank to make them believe that it was a real receipt. But my bank will not reverse the charge. I still have the “FREE” samples in the original box and am willing to return to Gia Bennett if they will provide shipping, still no go. I am not sure why my bank is so reluctant to believe me, except that Gia Bennett so many attorneys on their side. I have been working on this since 8/20, I have sent copies of everything even the usps delivery schedule which shows only the sample delivery.
Gia Bennett states they never received the jar of face cream returned, I NEVER RECEIVED IT ! I contacted USPS and they stated there was no delivery to me after the sample delivery. Still no reimbursement. If it says Gia Bennett consider it a cruel and nasty scam. I have contacted my VISA often and sent them EVERY piece of evidence I have and still no reimbursement,so sad , as a senior trying to survive of SS that money is truly needed. THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH

I fell for the same scam as these other people. I love JC Penney and thought this was a safe offer for a free moisturizer and
eye cream. Just had to pay the shipping. But of course, my next credit card statement had shipping charges of $94.99 & $97.88 for an additional shipment I had not received and billed my future card statement $104 & $98! I called (after I received the alert from the cc company) Healthy Engagements and was told that because I didn’t cancel within the 14 day window (which I never was aware of-nothing written of this), I was billed and the new shipment had been sent. I said I will not accept the shipment and I will not pay these charges! Alena did credit my card for the $104 & $98 but not the 1st set of charges. I have notified my cc company of this dispute and I did refuse the shipment. I called again to Healthy Engagements 844 667-2828 but they refused to credit my account. I’m very disappointed that this scam has been affiliated with JC Penney’s name and I will never fall for this type of con game again!

I saw a JcPenny ad that they were closing a lot of stores and they were doing a survey for a face product they would send out for cost of shipping and handling, no obligations. I received an email about a free sample of moisturizer, only pay the shipping. I only agreed to it because the screen said I would only be charged $4.95 and $6.97 shipping for eye cream and moisturizer. I ordered the products on 8/16/20. There were unauthorized charges on my bank card for $94.99 on 9/2/20 from Just4ubeauty.com and $97.88 on 9/3/20 from Naturalhealthgo. When I called customer service, the man said I had subscribed and that the product was a 14 day free trial and after that I was charged for the full price because they sent full sized product. These products are so tiny and cannot be full sized. I even went back and tried to find the original ad I had clicked on and could not. I had not tried the products yet because I wasn’t aware of the timeframe. Instead of the refund I requested, I was given another month to try the products. After almost a month, I called customer service back. The products did not work and irritated my skin. I cancelled the subscription, but was refused a refund. I can’t believe I fell for this scam!

There was an ad for J C Penney close out on Facebook, one of the close outs was for cosmetics. It was for free boxed cosmetics for paying the shipping . I filled out the info and was able to get eye serum and moisturizer. Got the product 8/29, on 9/7 there were unauthorized charges on my bank card for $192.88. When I called the man said I had subscribed and that the product was a 14 day free trial and after that they would charge for the full price because they sent full sized product. FREE and just pay shipping and agreeing to pay nearly $200 a month is not the same. I even went back and tried to find the original ad I had clicked on and could not! I called the number on my bank statement yesterday and after much screaming and yelling the man agreed to refund my money if I would return the product, which I agreed to do, but I have no guarantee that I will ever see my money again. The cream is in another ad when you look up eye serum and it is advertised for $1.98. These people need to be shut down!

I did the same thing but I am luckier than you. I received emails from JcPenny and Sephora telling me that they were closing some stores so they are giving out products as a gift.(not samples) . Usually I stay away from those free trails and sample but since JcPenny and Sephora are well known and reliable companies, I agreed to take the gift. I received a cream and eye serum in a week. Then I found out after I paid the 6.79, my credit credit showed some transactions that I didn’t recognize. I called Visa right away, they refunded all the money to me , including the 6.79 plus interest. Visa also asked me to get a new credit card. Please do yourself and others a favor, call your credit card now and dispute the transaction. DOn’t let those scammers get away. I am sure your CC will be on your side and you will see your money again! Good luck! Let us know!
