Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
A message appeared on my computer along with an audio warning saying that my computer had been infected with a virus and I needed to call the number listed immediately. It was not possible to exit out of the message and the warning said, "attempting to turn off your computer will result in permanent damage". The message looked very authentic and I had never seen one that could not be closed out of and gave an audio warning. After calling the number a man with an Indian accent scared me in to allowing him to view my computer through a program that gave him access to it. Then he manipulated me by showing some doing some things that made it look like my computer was quickly being destroyed by the attacking virus.
The company goes by the name GetNowSolutions, with this website http://getnowsolutions.com/index.html
After stealing my money, they later claimed that it did not go through and now continue to call me trying to steal more.
DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY, THEY ARE LIARS AND CROOKS.
