Type of a scam Debt Collections

The caller’s voice was not clear or loud enough to hear the company name. The subject was an amount owing to the IRS. For a return call, 1-800-448-3581 was given which is the same as Pioneer of Horsehead NY, a legitimate IRS debt collector. I have not received IRS Notice CP40 or Publication 45189 notifying me of a debt. I have filed a tax return every year and have never paid short. The caller is either a very sophisticated scammer or called the wrong number.
