Type of a scam Employment

I initially received a message on LinkedIn regarding an employment opportunity with Gallup, Inc. The message was from a legitimate employee from Gallup, Inc. They advised me that their online team reviewed my resume and wanted me to contact another person to interview via google hangouts that day or the next, or to reschedule. As Gallup, Inc. is currently hiring for the Graphic Designer position I’m looking for, I emailed the person to reschedule.

On the day I was to contact this person on Google Hangouts, video chat went unanswered. I then messaged the person, who asked me to verify my name and location. They then asked a few questions like, "Am I currently working?", "What do I think privacy means?" "What does code of conduct mean to me?", "What do I think makes a good Graphic Designer?" They gave me what seemed to be a copy and paste of Who Gallup is and the duties of the graphic designer and asked if I could handle that and what my hourly rate would be should I be hired after that briefing. They said if I was to be hired it would be work from home with 3-5 days training. They then said they were forwarding my interview questions to the hiring department which would take 20-25 minutes. Obviously they came back and congradulated me I was now a part of the team and I would communicate through Hangout for 3 days. That I would receive my duties daily through email. I would start as soon as I purchased everything needed for a home office. They originally stated there would be a check to pay for all, then said my supervisor name would come with the vendor and my employee badge. They then kept switching from saying account and check as to how the equipment would be paid for.I verified with Gallup,Inc. the two people’s names are legitamate employees but that this was a scam and they are aware of it.
