Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Thursday, Feb. 21st, I received a text message from the FTI Research Company telling me that I would be receiving a check for my assignment in the coming days. Sure enough, I received a check for $1900 from a Duanying Chen, 1375 Cabernet Ct., Toms River, NJ, 08753 on the check. But on the envelope, it says it’s from Ying Chen, P.O. Box 802200, Chicago, IL 60680-2131. It was just the check in the envelope, no paperwork or letter.
