Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

I got a letter in the mail that looked like a check but it stated it was not. The letter was addressed to me, but the from area only had the business name, with no address or number anywhere on the document. Freshstart does not have a website. They want to do everything by phone. I found out when I called to ask about a website. When you call, they know exactly who it is and have all your info pulled up in front of them. It’s scary. Thty called several days later and left a voicemail for me to follow up on a debt relief loan, which they previously said all they would need is my credit information.

I received a mailer and I was so desperate about my debt that I didn’t look closer. Unfortunately, I called and spoke with a Gary Coe who was extremely helpful and something I never do, but he asked and I gave him my Social Security Number. He emailed all this information and even used ScamPulse.com accreditation. He said I had several days to make a decision and then he would walk me through the application process and getting all my banking information. The program was going to save me roughly $800 per month and a number of my bills would be paid. Fortunately, I forwarded what he sent me to my family and they said this is too good to be true and the were right. I attempted 3 times to reach him through email and I kept receiving “unable to deliver” notices. I called twice and left messages that I wasn’t interested in the program. Fortunately, I didn’t provide banking information!!! Now, the closer I look at the flier, it looks fake – please be aware!!!!

I got a letter in the mail from the company, but did not get a valid email address or mailing address. When asked, I was told that they are accredited by the BBB, but the website that they provided is not the company website that they are promoting.
