Type of a scam Online Purchase

Initially bought a web development package for $299.00 in October 2017 to obtain an affiliate website with Amazon.com. They made the website, but was unable to obtain administrative functions (no code embedded to give me credit for products sold). Before I found that out, I received a call asking if I wanted to advertise the website. They let me know that they were one of 3 companies connected with Amazon.com that sold advertising to help get my website going. The website was up and going, but I still didn’t realize I had no control over the website. They let me know that Amazon would automatically send me a check about the 8th of each month afterwards. They sent me a link to a site that would let me know how the products were selling. In the meantime, fool that I was, I sent them $2,500 November 8th, 2017 for advertising (before Black Friday and Cyber Tuesday) in preparation for the year’s highest sales for online products. They promised education at the same link that let me know how "my" products were doing. Couldn’t get anything to work. Tried to give them a call, but not able to get anyone to call back. Made many emails to the web developer to insert embedded code to give me credit (Danny ), but nothing. I called "James" the Office Coordinator, who gave me a bogus web link. I called Amazon.com, who didn’t know anything about these people and told me that this was a possible Cyber fraud and report it. I did get in touch with James again who said "there must be some sort of a mistake, your website is just getting traction." Who cares, I wasn’t getting credit for my website anyway! I sent a copy of the invoices for the website and service description they promised: Social Media Content for Facebook, Professional Youtube Channel/One professional 30 (total 1-1/2 minutes), Studio Quality Commercial, Google Productive Packet and a promise to target 9000 visitors. I send a copy of the invoices to both Danny and James via registered mail – nothing. A Mr. Wise, appeared to be the company’s manager or co-owner. I talked to him twice at the beginning of this mess. Everyone seems to have vanished.
