Type of a scam Online Purchase

Internet search for local Yorkie puppies for sale had a link to this seller. Communication was through Facebook Messenger. Seller asked basic information (male, female wanted, etc.). When asked, seller said payment preferred through Walmart to Walmart system (never used before but did not want to use Western Union. Googled Walmart to Walmart pay system and it seemed legitimate. Eventually paid for puppy with transportation details to follow. Within about a day, received a phone call and email from supposed transportation company that was to deliver puppy to nearest airport for shipment in kennel. Transportation service claimed it needed proof of insurance on puppy before shipment could be made (asked for $680.00 through Western Union). Started looking hard at email and website and it appeared to be a fake. Could not find name of transportation company on the internet. Communication continued to seller through Messenger who claimed it was indeed a valid transportation service. Asked if I could pick up the puppy in person to which the seller agreed. Search of the given address, however, also did not appear to be a business or verifiable address. Most testimonials listed on website/Facebook appeared to be foreign names and/or origins.
