Type of a scam Family/Friend Emergency

A young man saying he was my grandson in jail because he was sick and a friend,Alex Cajmpbell, was taking him to the pharmacy and he was stopped by the police and when they searched the car they found 40 pounds of marijuana and they were both taken into custody and he needed $4,000 dollars to go before the court and he didn’t want me to tell anyone. He said a police officer would explain the process. The Police officer said his name was Michael Jones and he explain that the bond was $40,000 but 10% was needed which would be $4,000 and i needed to go to Walmart and get a Walmart gift card (he explained there would b several other gift cards) but to only get the gift card that was a Walmart gift card and they only allowed $1,000 dollars on a card so to get 4 but to not tell them that it was for a bond so I asked why that mattered he said they might put a red flag on it and to just say it was personal. He then said to call him at 1-289-772-5812 and give him the number on the cards. I told him I didn’t feel comfortable to do that and I needed to talk to my grandson again. he said that he had signed a disclosure to only contact one person and It was against the law for me to talk to him again but he would let me talk to him again since I was skeptical about the Situation.. I talked to who I thougth was my grandson again and I told him I was going to have to call his parents. He begged me not to. My grandson lives in Ft worth and so do his parents and he supposedly was in the Ft Worth JAIL. I knew FT Worth area code was 817 and calling in the numbers on a Walmart gift card just did not feel right. When i contacted them my grandson was at home and not sick. Fortunately i did not lose any money and this people are awful. I wanted to help my grandson and also wanted to do what they said. Mr jones said the money would be returned to me but it had to be there in 2 hours so he could go to a court hearing otherwise he would be in jail for 30 day.
