Forepaws.org held a "charity" golf event on June 7th, 2015 in Metamora, MI. The owner is known for scamming customers thru other internet business (global source medical). This non-profit organization was created months prior and for this golf outing on June 7th of last year. Questions re: how much of the proceeds from the event went to help this "animal rescue" were left unanswered. The website is down. This reported non-profit (while the owner had said he had not even applied for non-profit status prior to the charity event) is nowhere to be found online. It appears the non-profit organization was used to collect money but no link to an actual animal rescue was produced. Myself, and other, feel this was a scam for the event planner, or "owner", of the newly created, self-proclaimed non-profit organization to capitalize on donations provided by those thinking they were helping provide benefit to an animal rescue. Those of us who were looking into this charity golf scrambler were suspicious prior to the even and after. Myself, and others, feel the owner used this event as an opportunity for personal financial gain rather than as non-profit organization helping an animal rescue (that likely does not exist).
