Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I advertised my car in Auto Trader for sell for $1000. Buyer asked for my Name Address and what Bank I use all by texting and he sent me a check. Received a check for $2950. He or she never reveled where he is texting or any information I asked. The Check is written to my name and with the address: FOLLY ASSOCIATION OF BUSSINESS PO BOX 302 FOLLY BEACH, SC 29439 and sent with UPS priority Mail with the name of MARSHALL BRD 206 LAKEVIEW DR. MCPHERSON KS 57450-2536. I text him back, I have changed my mind. I have destroyed your check. Thanks. Also he called himself Scott Parry.
