Multiple calls from 877#’s with automated robot VM messages stating they are looking for the location and tracking whereabouts of (my name). Also my brother, sister and boyfriend have received the calls from the same numbers and gotten the same automated messages about looking for me. Tried calling the number back and the answering recording says they are FMR. Dialed 0 to speak to someone and a girl (becky) answered and immediately said she was tracing the number I was calling from, then said is this (my name). I didn’t want to answer but she wouldn’t give me any info so I said yes it is. She then asked to verify the last 4 of my ssn which she read to me. I said I didn’t feel comfortable answering that over the phone and asked what they want. She refused to give me any info unless I verified my ssn. The most she said was that they are working with or for another company in regards to claims processing. I asked who they are. She kept saying FMR. I asked what that stood for, she said Forward Movement Recovery. I asked what company has a claim and claim for what. She again refused to answer unless I verified my ssn, and was very rude when I asked any questions. Told her I don’t have any claims woth FMR or any other company or business and asked that they stop calling. She said they will continue to call me and all my relatives until they’re able to get a hold of me and get whatever info they’re calling about. Can someone please help me? How do I stop them from calling me and all of my relatives? I don’t know what to do. Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.
