I was first contacted through email to come in to an interview. When I showed up, there were 3 other people in the interview. The email did not specify it was a group interview. The so called interview was not an interview at all. The interviewer had us all sit at a table and went over a short power point about what their company offered. This included $20 an hour, free RBT training, and opportunity to gain experience. No qualification questions were asked to any of the interviewees. After the powerpoint, we were each taken to a room to set up a date and time for the next interview. A week later I went back for a "one on one." When I got there, I sat down with the interviewer and he brought up another powerpoint showing all the steps I would have to go through to start working. This involved alot of paperwork and testing through a 3rd party. Once again, no questions about my qualifications were asked. Not even personal questions. After a very short powerpoint, the last page stated that I would have to pay the interviewer $1500 to process paperwork to become medicaid certified as well as get a number healthcare professionals have to have. This fee did not cover any of the 3rd party fees. The interviewer even promises to give me a $400 discount if I paid a deposit within the next week. Upon finding this out, I was speechless and was expected to give a yes or no answer as well as a down payment. I told the interviewer I was unaware there was going to be a fee. This was never mentioned in the first interview. You should not have to pay someone for a job. This is a pyramid scheme. No contract was ever shown to me or given to me to look over details.
