When the taxi arrived at the airport I was told the machine in the back of the cab was out of order. The driver then entered my credit card information into the system in the front of the cab.
Upon checking my account I found that my card was charged twice. Once by Flash Cab and once by ‘Chi Taxi’. From researching online Chi Taxi is a very common name used for this scam. When I called to file a fraud charge with my bank they said this is VERY typical of taxis in Chicago and New York.
FLASH CAB IS A SCAMMING COMPANY. PAY ONLY WITH CASH.
