Type of a scam Employment

I received and email for a job opportunity as a receptionist / data entry Clerk on indeed.com. Tony Romero was the contact person. He tries to set up a fake interview by using the Hangouts app. It’s a two-day process and you think you’re going to get a job, then in reality he tells you he’s going to send a check and for you to take that check to your bank to cash it for the equipment needed. It’s for an at-home job. It’s a scam, there is no job opportunity.

Type of a scam Employment

Dennis St. John aka Dennis Gatlin as he calls himself is a world-class con artist. Says that he works for Fiserv in Atlanta in the gift card promotions department. Claims that there are left over $800 vouchers that he has the authority to distribute to people so they don’t go to waste. He then claims that he has a way to aggregate the vouchers and turn them into real cash. One he does this, he sends the $800 to you on a prepaid card that you purchase. Once this happens, you are supposed to send him $350 back and keep the remaining $450 for yourself. The catch is that he demands you to get an Amex gift card and load $130 on it that he calls an "escrow". You have no control over the "escrow" though. As soon as you give him the numbers on it, it’s gone and he pretends then to have you do a few hours of work to make the rest of the process work. After you have completed everything, he tells you he needs time to process everything to send to the other prepaid card so you get paid. Unfortunately, he says that it will only take 2 more hours for several days until you start to question this piece of garbage. Once you do that, he blocks you from any further communication and he has your money. I urge anyone who has been victimized by this to file a report here, on craigslist, instagram, and with the FBI
