I received a legitimate looking check from Nationwide Insurance, drawn on a Bank One account, in the amount of $2,350.00. Attached was a form from Fidelity Financial Incorporated. It stated that I was the 2nd prize winner in the second category of the European, African, and North American consumer sweepstakes, and that I was entitled to $250,000. There were 3 offices listed, one from each country. I was told to call my "claims agent" David Hull so that I could get instructions on cashing the check which was to help me cover the "processing fee," which was $1850. You are informed that you have won a sweepstake. They enclose a check for MORE THAN the processing fee you have to pay to collect your winnings. You are advised to contact your claims agent at the number and name provided (Rita Adams) to activate your claim processing and your check. The letter is from David Hull, Promotion Manager. There is a tear off at the bottom that you are supposed to give the courier when you receive your check for $250,000 that has a space for your name, address, claim number, and signature. Then it has an emergency phone number of +44-745-227-6520.
