Type of a scam Online Purchase

I ordered a "free" trial sample ("just pay shipping") online and agreed to a second "free" trial sample of a similar product, but declined the 3rd product sample. There was no mention of an on-going purchase and I don’t even think I got an email confirmation. There was nothing in the box when the two samples arrived except a very small packing list. Again, no mention of a future purchase or any terms/conditions. When I saw two charges for $89.71 and $89.78 on my bank statement today, I called one of the numbers noted on the packing list. A customer service rep who said her name was Sherry said there were terms & conditions on the pngage requesting credit card info that said this was a 14-day trial that had to be cancelled within 14 days or there would be a monthly charge for the product. She gave me a cancellation number (but now I’m wondering if I have to call both #s to cancel both products) but said I had to pay the above amounts. Supposedly, I won’t be charged going forward. I should have known there was a problem when the amounts I was charged for the face cream and eye serum were different but I assumed it was the small shipping fee. I was suspicious of this free trial, especially since there was nothing in the box I received about purchasing more product but didn’t have presence of mind to try and call for more information.
