Type of a scam Government Grant

the wife was contacted by a facebook friend (somebody pretending to be the friend) that gave her a phone number of a person to text and this person got him $60,000 grant money. All we had to do was give our name, birthdate, mothers maiden name,phone number and we could be approved for the grant. once approved they tried to get us to pay a fee to get the grant.

We did not pay a fee we are just reporting the scam.
