Type of a scam Government Grant

A contact on Facebook mentioned a grant she had received. I wasn’t feeling particularly well on this day because usually I see this crap coming.

They offered a government grant from the US. Of course it applied to Canadian citizens as well. A payment via moneygram or iTunes would insure my grant amount. I had choices to apply for different sized grants. The "fee" of each option became higher as the amount applied for became bigger .

When I figured it out I had already given them my information but had not sent them any money.
