Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

The individual called me on my landline stating that he was Officer David Mendez and I could verify him at 1-877-906-7315 extension 1007 the number that he was calling from was 202-851-2581. He said that I came in second place in a sweepstake called lifetime sweeps. He said I came in second place and they were trying to reach me to let me know that I have one $750,000 I told him I wasn’t gonna give him any information he said I didn’t want any information he said out called to give you information so you can claim your prize because the government needs to get their taxes off from my winnings. I told him I will call him back later. My grandson call the 877 number and other complaint was on that as far as scams are concern listing other sweepstakes.
