Type of a scam Debt Collections

I received a letter in my mailbox informing me of a debt that I owe to a company named "Sentinel Real Estate Corp Jackson Park Place". I did not take any loans out from anyone or any organization. The debt totaled to $3244.95 and they said that I must pay it or they will contact major credit agencies and cause me to have bad credit.

This is a clear scam. I did not take any loans or money from anyone ever. Also, I checked all my credit reports and none of them had any active loans or missed payments. This loan or debt is either a scam and doesn’t exist at all, or someone from that company is using my name and social security number for fraud.

Please take a look into this scam as soon as you can, because I could see other people falling for this if they felt intimated or if they aren’t as knowledgeable as I am. I’ve already filed a police report regarding this matter with my local police department.
