Received an e-mail from Charles Wallin [email protected] in response to my inquiry about a 1966 Corvette. The price seemed too good to be true and now I know why. Glad I did my research because I was ready to buy. It seemed legit until I noticed some discrepancies in his story and I found the exact same pictures of the alleged car on other website with different sellers listed. Here are some of his e-mails:

“I have attached a full set of pictures for you. Please check them. The car belonged to my father that recently passed away. He was the second owner. The car, the title, two sets of keys, manuals and some service history records is what you will get from the auto broker. I arranged for the sale right before I left, so all set on my end. I propose to close the deal through an auto broker, in the most safe and easiest way possible for both of us. Basically, it’s similar to buying a car locally, the money will be sent to their holding account, and they will keep the money until you receive the car. After the car is delivered, you will have a 7 days inspection period before you decide if you wish to keep it or not. If you are serious about buying the car, I will ship it anywhere with no extra cost. If you want to move forward please contact me back so we can get the ball rolling.”

“Because this is a classic car you can’t check the VIN on Carfax or something like that. The VIN for the classic cars are shorter (The VIN must be from a car or light truck manufactured for the North American market since 1981). I don’t know where you saw the car advertised. You can call Daniel from F5 Auto Sales Inc at +1 (206) 806-7751. If he is not answering just leave him a voicemail and he will get back with you. The company is F5 Auto Sales Inc. You can read about how they work step by step here: https://www.f5autosales.com/how.php
To be able to start this transaction you need to register on F5 Auto Sales Inc website: https://www.f5autosales.com/register.php
After the registration is complete just let me know and I will start a transaction for us.”

Thank you and stay safe,

It won’t be long and they will shut the F5 website down and open another one. So beware. They use the names of Forsberg, Berg, Wallin, Terry Morris and others. They have no car and there is no such shipping company. Its all a scam to steal your money. The latest news is they are either working out of Pakistan or India.

We almost got scammed by Daniel Forsberg/F5 Auto Sales. He posted a listing for a 2017 Malibu MXZ boat on boattrader.com for $45K – location said Santa Cruz, CA. We are about an hour and a half away from this location and I thought the price for the boat was true good to be true as they’re usually close to $100K in price. My husband contacted him about the price and he told my husband that he’s selling the boat for this dad who passed away and the boat is actually in Seattle, WA. He told my husband to send the money to a broker – F5 Auto Sales and they would hold the money until the boat gets delivered. My husband was ready to complete the app when I asked him to check if there’s any reviews online on F5 Auto Sales and that’s when we came across this website and found that they’re operating under several different websites/name and they’re all a scam.

Recently got scammed by Daniel Forsberg for a 1966 Shelby Cobra Orange Supercharged Convertible. This guy used a bogus seller on line with other legit sellers. All the paper work had the Company Logo and terms and conditions that I used when selling my 1970 Corvette the same way. Therefore everything looked contractually correct and legal. Once the money was sent all contact was lost. Didn’t do my due diligence and weigh all the risks involved. I will be pursuing this with the FBI due to the amount and circumstances. I have some good friends there due to my jobs requirement for a high Top Secret clearance. I am retired and will make this my life long project to see justice done to this individualm
