Type of a scam Employment

In August of 2015, I was laid off by the *** *** ***. I went onto LinkedIn to update my profile. A link for premium membership came up. I thought that it was for premium membership to LinkedIn, however, the membership was for Experteer.com. After I signed up for a three month membership with automatic three month renewal, I realized that I paid for a difference service other than LinkedIn premium. However, I decided to try out Experteer.com for the three month period because they offered a headhunting service as part of their premium membership. After the three month period, I cancelled my membership with Experteer via their website, i.e., Experteer.com, because their service was terrible. I never got a lead for a job in my field. I never got a call from a headhunter either. Separately, I changed credit card numbers in November, so Experteer did not have a valid credit card number to charge for the next billing cycle. On 12/12/2015, I received an invoice (via email) from Experteer stating that my account was past due. I immediately emailed them back and said that I cancelled my subscription before the next billing cycle (11/12/2015). Experteer claims they have no record of me canceling my subscription. They said that if I did cancel my subscription with them, I would have received a cancellation notice via email. However, they offered to cancel my premium membership with them “at the end of the current subscription period, 10.02.5016.” In other words, they are forcing me to pay for a year’s service with them and I have no means of cancelling my membership. On 12/28/2015, Experteer sent me a final notice and threatened to send me to a collection agency. On 12/28/2015 I went on Experteer.com again and cancelled my membership, following their instructions. Again I received no confirmation of cancellation. I also emailed Experter Customer Service again to say that I’ve tried twice to cancel my subscription with them to no avail. I demanded that they send me confirmation of my termination of service with them and I would pay for the next three month billing cycle by check. Experteer emailed me back the same day and said they regrettably don’t accept payment via a bank transfer. This company is a scam and I cannot cancel my subscription with them and I will not give them my new credit card information. Therefore, I am reporting them to you.
