Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

This is an online survey company that gives rewards for answering online surveys. The scam is, they have you answer tons of surveys and there are "technical issues" that prevents you from ever achieving the rewards. After 5000 points, you earn a $5 reward which can be used to purchase a gift card from a select group of retailers/businesses. The problem is, the minimum number of points needed to redeem a gift card is 10000 points and they never let you get to 10000 points. As soon as you get close, they create "technical issues" which prevents you from earning any more points, which prevents you from ever earning a reward. Part of me believes that the surveys were just a scam themselves, as a way to collect personal information.

Now, I just got an email that the business is shutting down and all rewards must be redeemed before May 7th, 2020 which of course can’t be done. Stay away from this company! I expect they will show up with another name and do the scam all over again. Don’t get sucked in!
