I reached out to the customer support at Eonon before ordering their GA9465 stereo for my 2011 BMW 3 series. They were quick to reply over the course of several email and very helpful in identifying if this stereo would fit my car—they assured me it would. They also explained they have a 60 day money back guarantee, so if for any reason I didn’t like the stereo, I could simply return it. Seemed like a no brainer to give it a try. This was a great experience so far; however, after I placed my order, everything changed.

When I received the unit in the mail and went to install it, I found it did not work with my car. I spoke with a professional stereo installer who explained that this is a cheap quality stereo and the stock BMW amp on my won’t work with it. When I contacted customer service for a refund, they took days at a time to respond to me and stalled, demanding video proof and telling me I have to try numbers attempts their tech team suggests to fix it before they will accept a return (note: this is NOT the policy the sales person explained to me but it is apparently consistent with the fine print of their return policy. If you attempt to install it, they will not take a return unless it is defective). After trying 3 of their tech team’s ideas to fix it, all of which resulted in failure (proving my unit was defective/did not work with my car), I asked again for a refund per their stated policy (https://www.eonon.com/Warranty_Returns.aspx?fbclid=IwAR0BeCHc9noU2ACTms3kRpwYUd…⇄ At this time, customer service went totally dark and would not email me back at all. So here I am with a defective stereo and a company that will not honor their stated return policy.

Moral of the story? Do not be fooled by their eager helpfulness pre-sale; they turn on a dime post-sale—probably because they know this is a cheap product. Do not be lured in by these charlatans.
