Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

I was looking into getting a personal loan with not so great credit. This company called me and said they could give me a 50K loan at 8% interest rate without checking my credit as long as I paid $750 in insurance to secure the loan. This sounded really fishy to me. I looked at the website and it just didn’t feel right. I did a google search for reviews on the business and nothing came up. I called the number back and I got a weird beep followed by a fuzzy connection. I also did a google search for the business address and it appeared to be residential and no business name came up In the search.
